State Custodial Property Notice (California Claimants)
Certain assets identified during the course of review may be held by the California State Controller's Office under California’s Unclaimed Property Law. Property delivered to the State is held in custodial trust for the rightful owner until a valid claim is submitted and approved. Claimants retain the right to file a claim directly with the State without the use of a third-party representative.
Fee Limitation Disclosure (California)
For claims relating to property held by the State of California, fees charged for recovery services shall not exceed ten percent (10%) of the net amount recovered, in accordance with California Code of Civil Procedure §1589 and related provisions. Fees are contingent upon successful recovery and are not assessed unless funds are received.
No Guarantee of Recovery
Engagement does not constitute a guarantee that property or funds will be located or recovered. Outcomes depend on the accuracy of historical records, evidentiary sufficiency, and approval by the applicable holder or governmental authority.
Documentation Requirement Notice
Recovery efforts require submission of documentation sufficient to establish identity, ownership, and legal entitlement. Required materials may include probate records, corporate authority documents, conveyances, affidavits, or other substantiating instruments as dictated by the holder.
Processing Timeframes
Review and approval timelines are controlled by the holding entity and may be subject to statutory review periods, audit verification, or administrative backlogs beyond the control of the service provider.
Tax Responsibility Disclosure
Recovered funds may have tax consequences. The service provider does not provide tax, legal, or investment advice. Claimants are encouraged to consult qualified professionals regarding reporting obligations.
Representative Capacity Statement
Services are performed in a representative and administrative capacity only, intended to assist with research, documentation, and coordination. No legal representation is provided unless separately retained under a written agreement with licensed counsel.
